CPR Classes
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) a form of First Aid, is a lifesaving technique used in many emergencies, including heart attack, cardiac arrest, or near drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. First Aid is the help given to a sick or injured person until full medical treatment is available.
Why Learn CPR?
According to the American Heart Association (AHA), 70% of Americans do not know how to administer CPR, or their training has significantly lapsed. 88% of cardiac arrests occur at home, so the life you save may be a loved one.
Emergencies such as cardiac arrests are more common than you think, and they can happen to anyone at any time. Many victims appear healthy with no known heart disease or other risk factors.
CPR Saves Lives
Since 4 out of 5 cardiac arrests happen at home, the life you save may be a loved one.
Failure to act in a cardiac emergency can lead to unnecessary deaths. Effective bystander-administered CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. Less than 8% of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital survive.
