Job Description
Title: Peer Educator
Position Summary: To assist the Health Promotion staff with duties, workshops, and marketing as needed.
Hours: Peer Educators may be volunteers, academic interns, or student assistants. Volunteers should dedicate at least two hours a week to be a Peer Educator and must attend required trainings. Hours for student assistants and academic interns will vary based on their job and class requirements.
Job Functions:
Few students do all of these (but we won't stop you!). Peer Educators are encouraged to work on the projects they are best suited for and enjoy doing the most
Qualifications:
Students must possess the following qualifications in order to be considered for the position.
Must be able to work OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS for some major events and trainings.
Most importantly, Peer Educators must possess a willingness to work as a team and with a diverse student population.

Community Service:
If you were referred via a judicial sanction then we must have a note or form from the person who administerred the sanction.
We welcome all students in the Health Promotion office, and this means that you are never obligated to tell any other students in the office other than your supervisor that you are completing community service hours. We want to create a caring and supportive community, and this means treating everyone equally. You should know that a number of students have chosen to stay with us even after completing their hours!
