Below are voluntary statements made by program hosts, who wish to share their enthusiasm about the I LOVE Consent program provided by Paula Madrigal, Assistant Director of Prevention and Health Promotion and Jason Parker, Program Coordinator for the Office of Equity and Campus Diversity.
"The I Love Consent workshop was a great way to talk about consent. It was open, honest, and interactive. This made it a fun, mature way to talk about sex."
Nick Jinks, Eastern University - MAC SAAC President
"Student-athletes have a unique platform for social change in the community and on campus; this is one reason why MAC SAAC has recently committed to the It's On Us campaign. Paula and Jason provided an opportunity for our student-athletes to have dialogue about sex and consent in a comfortable and open setting. We hope that the I Love Consent workshop is a springboard for conversations to take place on campus."

"Jason and Paula worked extremely well together, and treated the students as adults and with dignity and respect. They also made the presentation interesting and "hip" by bringing outside resources in such as the consent Ed video. Each student was very engaged and seemed to be able to relate to the topics at hand. I believe that these workshops are making a solid difference and each person in the community will benefit from them."

"Paula and Jason’s workshop was exactly what we were looking for. They were able to be candid with our students while remaining professional. The students that attended the workshop were able to easily follow along and engage with the presenters. The workshop did a fantastic job of going over what consent is and what it isn’t and how to properly ask for consent. It was great at explaining affirmative consent as passed down from the state government. I would definitely want Paula and Jason back.
I thought you guys did a great job! I like your activities and based on the student evaluations the students learned that silence is not consent, the amount of people that get sexually assaulted, and how to say yes. They did not have any suggestions on making the event better.
Thank you again for helping us out, your work was so appreciated!"
